Markus Naarttijärvi is a full professor of law at Umeå University. His research revolves around constitutional rights and rule of law, in the intersection of emerging technology, security and human rights. He coordinates the focus area on Critical, Ethical, Legal and Social perspectives on AI within the transdisciplinary AI research center TAIGA and is currently leading a project funded by the Swedish Research Foundation on semi-automated (hybrid) decision-making and the rule of law.
