Daria Loi is a creative and technical leader with a passion for mixing design strategy with participatory research to enrich people’s everyday life. She has a long track record leading design innovation and her current appointments include: Board of Directors for Democracy Lab; Conjoint Professor of Practice at Newcastle University Australia; Advisor for the Computational Thinking & Design Center at Aarhus University; Member of Aspen Institute’s Virtually Human Working Group; Client Advisory Board for Course 5 Intelligence; Co-chair for the Participatory Design Conferences Advisory Board; and columnist and member of the editorial team of ACM Interactions. Daria conducted research and presented her work on most continents, published 80+ articles and papers, holds 10+ patents, and in 2018 she was recognised as one of Italy’s 50 most inspiring women in tech (InspiringFifty).
