Gerd Kortuem is Professor and Chair of Internet of Things at the Industrial Design Engineering Faculty at TU Delft and principal investigator at the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions. His research focuses on the intersection of the Internet of Things, AI, and design. He explores how data, algorithms, and smart materials can be turned into creative design materials. Over the last five years, Gerd’s research has focused on design methods and tools for data-centric design, responsible Artificial Intelligence, and urban IoT.
